Cyan Crianza 2019 is made entirely from Tinta de Toro grapes from a selection of vines that grow on Finca La Calera, an estate in Valdefinjas, west of the D.O. Toro, in the coolest part of the area. La Calera is home to old, organic, gobelet-trained vines planted between 1943 and 2005. The sandy-loam soil with limestone outcrops is very uncommon in the Toro area and lends the wines a particular freshness. The grapes were fermented for 10 to 14 days in stainless steel tanks (26ºC). The wine was finally aged for 12 months in French and American barrels.
Very deep crimson with bright bluish hues.
Intense, expressive nose with fresh aromas of red and black fruit such as plum, cherry, blackberry and strawberry and elegant tertiary aromas from barrel ageing such as coffee, spices, dairy and liquorice.
Very expressive palate with a moderate acidity that lends it freshness. Lingering aromas similar to those of the nose, and the same sensations of fresh fruit, coffee, liquorice, wood and dark-roasting.
