Emina Crianza is a very modern Tempranillo, where the expression of its elegant black and red fruit blends perfectly with spicy aromas and notes of fine wood from the forests of France and the USA, where the barrels in which it ages for 12 months originate.
This wine comes from the best plots that Bodega Emina Ribera owns in Valbuena de Duero, bathed by the waters of the Duero River. These vineyards are located near the Monastery of Santa María de Valbuena, the birthplace of winemaking, where Cistercian monks reintroduced viticulture in the Middle Ages. They lie between 750 and 910 meters above sea level in the high plateau region.
The combination of these two terroirs achieves a balance between freshness and voluptuousness, resulting in a wine of perfect harmony.
Visual: A very deep cardinal color is visible with intense purplish tones and a very covered layer.
Nose: This is a lively, intense, and fresh wine. It has aromas of tart red fruits such as raspberry and currant, with a subtle hint of lavender. These are complemented by clean and delicate tertiary notes from the wine's aging process, including spicy hints of clove, fine roasted aromas, fine wood, and elegant nuances of dark chocolate.
Palate: We discovered a wine with good structure and a lively framework of sweet tannins that, well-integrated with balanced acidity, give the wine expressiveness and length. Furthermore, we find the same sensations present on the nose, with fresh fruit, dark cocoa, licorice, and subtle roasted notes reappearing.
