GARU offers you the best-kept secrets of the Rioja DOCa in every glass. A wine profoundly influenced by its terroir, by an endless landscape, and by Tempranillo grapes from our vineyards in Labastida, near Mount Garu, which is depicted on its label.
The vines, between 25 and 80 years old, are planted in the traditional bush vine style in the cool, calcareous soils of Labastida, located in the heart of La Rioja and near the CM Matarromera Winery. Production is limited, with small grapes harvested by hand in boxes of less than 12 kg.
The mountains are key to the development of the vineyard, and in this area of Rioja, they produce Tempranillo grapes that contribute to the wine's freshness, aromatic expression, minerality, and structure. In short, it is the ideal location for producing a truly flavorful wine, synonymous with success. Garu undergoes a moderate aging process with light toasting, which adds intensity and expression. The best environment to obtain a very tasty wine, synonymous with success.
