Made of anisette and sloe berries, this beverage is the typical after-dinner liqueur but you can also use it in a cocktail. With its golden ruby colour, the Egiazki Patxatan is a very tasty liqueur rich in flavours (sloe berries and stewed fruits) with some spicy notes.
The Patxaran originates from Navarre in the Southern Basque Country. It owes its name to the Basque term “Basarana” which means wild plum (“basa” wild, “arana” plum). Originally, this liqueur was consumed in families where each house had its own recipe. Today the consumption of "Patx" has become widely democratized since it has become a tradition in the four corners of the Basque Country.
To perpetuate this heritage, we wanted to breathe new life into this Basque classic by creating our own recipe for patxaran by hand.
The Egiazki Patxaran is free from preservatives and artificial colorings, its appearance and flavors are guaranteed 100% natural. Bottling, corking and labeling are also done by hand.

Composition: Wild sloes, water, sugar, alcohol, anise. Tasting suggestion: With a good length in the mouth, the Patxaran is traditionally tasted as a digestive. We recommend that you place your bottle in the refrigerator or drink it with a single ice cube to keep the flavors.
More original, the Egiazki Patxaran will also go wonderfully with rums or gins like our Arana Gin.
